KMG Cvjetno naselje

Since I practice Krav Maga in Belgium, I wanted to stay somewhat in shape during my stay here in Zagreb. I was planning to look for a KMG club that would let me join them during my stay. When exploring the neighborhood in the first week I stumbled upon a flyer which had some information about a club located 300m from the dorm. This was perfect, I went there one night and introduced myself and asked if there was a possibility to join them, in this way I could learn about their visions, technique's as well as sharing ideas and techniques from the club back home. This turned out to be a great decision.

The head coach (Kruno Buden) is a very friendly and humble man, who welcomed me with open arms. Although his English is far from perfect, he does everything to explain me what he means and the other members of the club help translating from time to time. I joined for my first training two days later.

Another two days later I got invited to join them for a road trip, we went to see some war museum, urban exploring, visiting military hospital in the woods. This was a great experience, and I got to learn and see different side of Croatia.

Only two weeks later there was an airsoft activity with the club to which I got invited too as well. I cannot thank them enough for being so open and letting me join the club and feeling home in such a short time. The airsoft game took place in the woods north of the Mountain of Zagreb (Mount Medvednica). The game lasted a good four hours, this was my first experience playing airsoft and it is going the be one of many most memorable experience from my time here. I really recommend doing this if you like a physical challenge combined with a healthy portion of adrenaline.

I am learning a lot from these guys, and have good time doing so. From sharing drinks with them to almost throwing up after training, I enjoyed every single bit of it! Big thanks to everyone involved with the club!
